A “Cheer Princess” clinic will be offered by the high school cheerleaders Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the cheer room, located in the basement of the Butler Building. This clinic is a fund-raiser for the high school squad’s upcoming trip to the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando. Participants, which can be in kindergarten through eighth grade, will spend time working with the cheerleaders on jumps, stunts, cheers and dance. “We will also be giving them cheer princess make-overs,” said CCHS Cheerleader Coach Brandy Holloman-Brown. “All participants will also receive a cheer bow instead of a t-shirt at this clinic.” Holloman-Brown said participants will not cheer at an event following this particular clinic. “We will have another clinic in January where they will receive a t-shirt and get to cheer at a basketball game. That one will be as a fund-raiser, too,” she said. The cost for the Cheer Princess clinic is $25. To register girls for the clinic, call 625-5204 or message Holloman-Brown through Facebook.
