Kenyan exports will once again enter the European market without any tariffs. The Regulation was fast-tracked given the industry’s weakened competitive position since 1 October 2014, when exports to the EU started attracting duties due to delays in signing the EPA. Reinstating duty-free access to the EU market greatly benefits the flower and vegetable industry in both Kenya and the Netherlands.
