A Comparison Between two states anthems: Imolites claim they((including Godwins Nduka) are intelligent and yet many can not differentiate between white and black. In my last post where I revealed that Imo do not have an anthem, about eight people threatened me via inbox. The fact is that, I dont fear fear, I fear regret. Generally, an anthem is suppose to be a morale booster not a propaganda song. Now lets compare Cross River State Anthem and the alleged Imo state anthem: CROSS RIVER STATE ANTHEM: Land of our birth we pledge to thee, Our love and toil in the years to be, When we are grown and take our place, As men and women in our race. Cross River State our FAITH our PRIDE, Almighty God all thanks to Thee, O motherland we pledge to thee, HEADS, HEARTS and HANDS, Through the years to be. Note: in the above anthem theres no verse that carries the programmes or slogan of the government. No name calling, no Propaganda. Those that are good interpreters of poems will say its a morale booster!!! Imo State Anthem: Imo my state, Great state, my state, Land of wisdom, Peace and unity. O lord my God, We can not do without you, Grant our leaders The wisdom to lead us. Rule of law, Rule of law in our time, Rule of law, This is our prayers. Corruption must stop, Must stop, in our time, Corruption must stop, This is our prayer. EDUCATION must be FREE, Must be free, in our time! Education must be free, This is. Our prayer. Imo must be better, Must be better in our time, Imo must be better, This our prayer. Imo must be better, Must be better in our time. Imo must be better, This us our prayer, Voice of the People, Voice of the people! Voice of God, NO SHAKING...... Please place your observation(s). Ok, Let me expose something in the last verse Voice of the People, Voice of the people! Voice of God, NO SHAKING......, Remember ORO claims he is the voice of the people - Senior Advocate Of the Masses, SAM. This he claims in every of his speech that the voice of the people is the voice of God. ------------------------------------------------------ We dont have an anthem. What we have is Propaganda song.
