A Condolence Meeting is being held on 20th August at 3pm in the meeting hall of the State Minorities Commission Next to Lake View GuestHouse on Raj Bhavan Road Somajiguda in the memory of Janab Yousuf Qureshi former Chairman of the State Minorities Commission who passed away on 15th August at Hyderabad. As you all may be aware that Janab Yousuf Qureshi Sahab had acted very boldly on the issue of illegal detention and torture of youth by the Police after the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad. Without going under any pressure he sent a team of officers to the Jails to record the statement of the tortured youth because of which the torture stopped. On the report filled by the Commission under his Chairmanship the youth were released and also paid compensation and good character certificates were given to them which is the first instance of this type in the whole country. I appeal to all to attend this meeting I also would like to appeal to the youth who were affected in the above incident to attend, if any of my Facebook contacts know them please inform them.
