A Consideration (?): It seems its the time of year for the makers of all manner of things to put out smarmy commercials to capture the seasonal shoppers imagination. One that got my attention was for cosmetics and a parfume/eau-de-cologne/captivating scent. To further enhance this enhancing olfactory attractant was the offer of a significant amount of assorted cosmetic, uhhh, stuff, in an attractive case. The very best part was that all of this was offered in a commercial set to the song, I Love You Just The Way You Are. That caused my non-cosmetic mind to wonder, Is that just the way you are now with all the cosmetic stuff or was it the just way you were ante-cosmetics? And should there be a contingency for Ill love you just the way youll be with other cosmetics or maybe not? And how can you be just the way you are, if youre covered in stuff to make you different than just the way you are? Is it a Just the way you seem deal? What about just the way you are prior to the vanishing cream? I mean wouldnt it be awkward to have a Really? Thats just the way you are? Really? moment? My lovely bride is more beautiful today than the day I married her nearly 50 years ago. I love her just the way she is, the way shes always been. I would bet she hasnt spent $500 on cosmetics in all those years. Her guess is around $10 a year. See why I love her just the way she is? And its hard to beat Eau de Chevalle. Jim
