A DEAD DEMOCRACY: Right NOW, as we report this, TD Shortall is being removed from the Dail. Why? Well you may recall that the debate on Irish water and its makey uppey charges was FROZEN last night by the shambolic and utterly government-biased CC (speaker for the Dail). Basically because Enda, our Taoiseach, the man ultimately responsible for all this, DIDNT KNOW THE ANSWERS. So he promised to get Irish water to provide them. So today the debate was to continue, from the shambolic display yesterday. And guess what?? The CC stopped any further debate. And guess what again??? Because TD Shortall said the ceann comhairle was brought in this morning to shut down debate and push through section 5 without the government having to provide figures on IW, she was ORDERED OUT OF THE HOUSE. The peoples representative, asking simple but important questions about the water tax (which will never come in), because she was showing up just how rubbish this government of cronies is, NEVER RECEIVED THE ANSWER. Instead the people she represent were COMPLETELY DISENFRANCHISED by removing her from the Dail. The opposition had shown last night that the figures would not stand up to scrutiny....so scrutiny went for a hop. WHAT HAPPENED TO DEMOCRACY?? Accountability? Justice? Honour? Freedom? You will all recall that Enda himself set up the Constitutional Convention to recommend political reform in Ireland- it was a key strand of the FG ticket, to abolish corruption and lack of governance. And guess what? They voted 82 out of 99 FOR DIRECT DEMOCRACY!!!! And guess what again??? FG buried the report. Disgraceful- shambolic, in our view traitors and criminals- but at least WHEN we have Direct Democracy, the people will have all the power, equally. And YOU will be able to create the laws through citizen initiated referendum. So, if you want, YOU can decide what is to be done with these traitors....( we favour seizure of all assets, Jobseekers Allowance, and a flat in Fatima (sorry to everyone living there!!!) or similar)
