A DOUBLE PORTION Instead of your shame you shall have double honour, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be theirs. Isaiah 61:7 No matter what has been taken away from you, no matter what youve lost or experienced in the past, if you give it over to God, He will return to you more than you could ask or imagine. He will make things right and give you more than what was lost or stolen. The promise of the Lord is clear. When you put your hope in Him, He loads you with the blessing of a double portion. God wants to multiply your joy, peace, wisdom, health, finances — a double portion of His favour in every area of your life! The first step in moving forward into this fresh future is forgetting the disappointments of yesterday. Its time to forget those disappointments of your past and reach out in faith to Gods abundant future. The second step is to tenaciously take hold of the promises of God to you and pray them into reality. Prayer is the means by which spiritual blessings are converted into earthly blessings. Prayer reaches into the heavens and pulls down the blessings of God into our earthly lives. The third step is to boldly act out on your faith. Many times that means you offer to God your thanksgiving offering even before you see the physical reality. Your financial seed is an announcement of your faith in what the Lord has promised you. It allows the Lord to rebuke the devourer of your blessing and also causes people to pour out your blessing into your bosom.
