A Day Will Come A day will come when you realize that you have become a hypocrite, that you have squandered your ethical capital, sold out your soul, and have become spiritually bankrupt, and you will thank God for that awakening. That, my friend, will be an good day for all. You will look around and gaze upon the horror that has become your life, and the lives of those around you; and you may even marvel at the spectacular failure and of how it all seemed to happen by your own hand and without your even knowing. At that moment you will know that you have become the thing you hated. That day will come, as it comes to all those who live, who love, and who seek and hold power. You will look down from your mountain top at the piles of bodies that secure your base. Those bloody foundations will begin to slip from your grasp, and every hand that you held down to get to where you are at now will scratch and claw you every step of the way down, no matter how mired in repentance you may have become. This will be an auspicious time. That day will come. And you will thank God for that awakening...
