A Denton County assistant district attorney has until Monday to file an appeal after the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee placed him on probated suspension recently. William “Bill” Schultz was found to have committed professional misconduct by the District 14 evidentiary panel for the State Bar of Texas last month after he worked as a lead prosecutor in an aggravated assault case in 2012 and unlawfully obstructed another party’s access to evidence and failed to disclose all evidence or information known to him that tended to negate the guilt of the accused or mitigated the offense, according to the judgment.
