A Dialogue with Professor Chaman Lal -JNU: (REF: IN Reply to Writing of Professor Chaman Lal on FB Wall) SIR: I am a Small Kid Before U & Before All Intellectuals (ME 2). ......EVEN THOUGH:- This issue of Bhagat Singh is Truly Full of controversies. Even I with a Cool Mind While Taking Entire Freedom Movement together -Not only Two Paths -Even Congress Had Many Paths-Ideologies.........Socialist-Left Movements......Sarvodaya (J.P., Lohia, Narendra Dev.................).......Shubhash Chandra Bose........Radical Thinkers favouring Violence as a Theory of Movement in Southern Part of India (All Known to U). Of Course Gandhi and Bhagat Had Become two Distinct Scholars with resembling Goals with Approaches (Violence or Non Violence) as far as the Freedom Movement is Concerned. From This Point Gandhi was Nationalist (believing in Bourgeoisie Democracy -Capitalist Development with Swedeshi) AND BHAGAT AND His Group Towards Socialism -Revolutionary Democratic Revolution. The Nehru Had an other Line. But WE Should not Forget Sir-Until 1947 We Had A Agenda-Liberation of State from BRITISH EMPIRE. The TWO Agenda -SOCIALISM Or BOURGEOISIE DEMOCRACY is the Task to be taken After 1947-I.E. Independence of State. ............................................................................................I hope that I succeeded to explain myself that this Country Was Fighting for ONE CAUSE: AND For That Reason Fighting against British Was our COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY Keeping Aside Theory of Class Struggle, Character of State, Approach of Struggle and So On..................... No Body including Myself Could Convince Upon me the Role of Gandhi in this Context-Despite He is Mahatma. Even Your Very Good Write Up -SIR- I do not find the Reply In Side. Even Because While Lecturing at Different occasions I failed to Answer this Question to my Audience-Students. I Confess this much -to our Scholars that many a time During Movements within the same Philosophical Framework-We do Commit Mistakes May Be Because of our Some Political Compulsions -To get Some Thing to Loose Some Things-I do not want to inter into controversies of Communist Movements across the Globe. The Mistake Had Happened even in Recent Experiment. I believe and Hope Revolutionary Forces Have Minimum Moral Standard and Ethics Keeping Aside Ideologies or Political Programs Which Even Now in Radical Indian Politics is Missing...........................Mahatma Gandhi Has Missed Some Thing Which History is Posing the Question..............I Know He might not Have Done Deliberately-BUT May Be Under Some Political/Non Political Compulsions...........................Which Needs to Discovered By Scholars.........................I do not Consider the Hypothesis for Good and Sufficient Reasons -Ideological Differences Resulted in Such Arrogance OR Theory of Class Struggle Could Define IT: WITH -DEEP REGARDS.......Praying to Pardon for Any Excuse in this Write Up: DR R.S.
