A Dj must: Know the ages of his audience and you must be able to play the Soundtrack of their lives, You must be able to play the songs that impacted them in every genre not just Tejano and Rap, for folks in their 40s and 50s, Disco & Classic Country hits...everything from Emotions by Sara Sang to Smokie Mountain Rain by Ronnie Millsap, if you cannot learn or not willing to learn, maybe its not really for you. Have some Glenn Miller and Sanatra for the elders in the room, some 80s hits for the not so older folks, some alternative for the 90s children, Soundtracks that touched people like Grease and Urban Cowboy...some Waylon & Willie and cash for the Country Outlaws in the crowd, remember, you might be dealing with folks who never go out, and this is their chance to have a great time.
