A FEDERAL JUDGE OVERSEEING SEATTLE POLICE REFORM MEASURES HAS JUST MADE A RULING ON THE IMPORTANCE OF A RECENTLY ASSEMBLED COMMUNITY POLICE COMMISSION IN THE OVERALL PROCESS---GET LOST Upon assembling a diverse Community Police Commission (CPC) to supposedly play an instrumental role on police reform, their main task was to gather critical feedback from Seattles diverse communities on finalizing recommended police department policy changes. Heres a web-link to the site created for Seattles Community Police Commission: seattle.gov/policecommission/ The federal judge assigned to oversee Seattles police reform measures judge, James Robart has just ruled against the CPC s request for an option to invoke delays in the police reform process from 31 to 120 days. The CPC felt that such a delay range was necessary to enable themselves, and their communities to reasonably look over police reform measures in an appropriate timely manner. At issue is the CPCs ability to critically review, and provide recommendations on complex areas of the police reform process associated with early intervention systems, use-of-force training curricula, and policies on internal investigations. Apparently each of those areas of a police agencys operations are the defining means by which police officers will conduct themselves once in the field. Therefore, judge Robarts ruling clearly sent a message that keeping police reform on track time wise was far more important than implementing police reform measures that meet the expectations of those (Citizens) being served by them. BLACK PEOPLE, I DO NOT FIND ROBARTS ACTIONS TO BE OF ANY SURPRISE. Granted that judge Robart has permitted the CPC to file within the police reform process amicus curiae (Friend of The Court), the inability of the CPC to have direct engagement in the police reform process undermines the principles of police accountability, as well as transparency in governing. AS A RESULT, JUDGE ROBART HAS JUST VIOLATED SOME OF THE MOST SACRED 21ST CENTURY PRINCIPLES ON COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING. Now, considering that I have personally had an experience of working within the profession of law enforcement, and a career serving the State of Washington, BLACK PEOPLE YOU MUST WAKE-UP TO A WHITE SUPREMACIST IN DISGUISE. ALL THIS POLICE REFORM CRAP IS ABOUT NOTHING OTHER THAN STROKING YOU (CRUEL & UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT) FURTHER DOWN THE ROAD. What youre witnessing in the City of Seattle as police reform is something from the far past thats been applied numerous times within Black communities. A Community Police Commission extending nothing more than touchy feely view points on police matters, yet failing in offerings of critical analysis, and realistic problem-solving on the broader ranges of Black people living the experiences of ontological wounds, and emotional scarring inflicted by White supremacy. A U.S. Nation today as it has always been at being weak-willed in ensuring racial justice, and rejection to accepting the humanity of Black people. blogs.seattletimes/today/2013/11/judge-denies-citizen-commission-formal-role-in-spd-reforms/
