A FEW WORDS FROM THE ADMIN In yesterdays post (Gita 4.18), Guru Maharaj covered an eye-opening topic of DRUDGERY in todays world thats becoming more and more a way of life due to the Western culture of profit-by-any-means, greed, nepotism, and corruption practiced by the corporate world. This, in turn, is the result of the industrial revolution, the decline of the feudal society giving rise to the economic principles of capitalism and free market. DRUDGERY at work-places means no joy in the work we do, and to compensate for that lack of joy 9 to 5, five days a week, about fifty weeks every year, gives rise to the psychological need of LEISURE to be enjoyed during week ends, during many holidays throughout the year, and during two or more weeks of vacation every year. TGIF (Thank God, Its Friday) is a popular conversation topic every Friday among workers in America today!!! But as Guru Maharaj introduced this topic here and will speak in his discourses next THAT ANY WORK NEED NOT BE DRUDGERY AND ALL WORK MUST BRING JOY, I take this opportunity to bring to you a wonderful video by Dr. Raj Sisodia Ph.D, Prof. of Marketing at Babson College, Wellesley, near Boston (USA). Unfortunately most businesses today are not so. He then argues that businesses and the corporate world of today need to TRANSFORM themselves and rise to levels of HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS, if they want to survive and be successful in todays globalized world.
