A FRUITFUL GALILEE Nothing Good Can Come From Galilee In - TopicsExpress

A FRUITFUL GALILEE Nothing Good Can Come From Galilee In the New Testament times, Galilee was a region that wasnt really known for the right reasons. In the post-exile area, this land became inhabited by a mixture of Jews and people of other nations. Thus even the worship in this region was to some extent influenced by these diverse cultures that lived there. To the pro-Jewish cultured towns and regions, which had a strong worship of God, Galilee was a disgraceful place! The people of this region were also pre-dominantly uneducated and so their lack of scholarly attributes also did not give them a right standing in society. To put it plainly, they were considered ignorant! John 1:46 Nazareth! Can anything good come from there? Nathanael asked. Come and see, said Philip. Nazareth was a town in Galilee! The perspective of people towards the region of Galilee was definitely the perspective of people towards the towns of Galilee, Nazareth included! So, Philip comes to Nathanael and tells him he has had an encounter with the Messiah (He that was spoken of by Moses and the prophets), yet Nathanael listens but does not hear! Like many of us today, he (Nathanael), had a preset mindset on a lot of things, upto and including which place was not ideal for the Messiah to hail from! Anywhere but Nazareth! formed the core of Nathanaels perspective on possible origins of the Messiah. Hear this: He did not doubt that scripture would be fulfilled by the coming of the Messiah, he just doubted that it would ever be from a place like Nazareth! Why would a Messiah, the salvation of the jews (and the entire mankind), come from a lowly and backward place? Nathanael hoped, like every other jew, for a miracle in the form of a messiah, but he also had a limiting mindset! Oh, if he only could see beyond his limited mind! Then he would realize that the Messiah had not come for a simplistic assignment of being king of the jews, rather as Saviour of the entireity of mankind! His miracle was in sight, but he had not the sight to see it! To him, and many others, their picture of the messiah was that he was a political figure! The reality however was that their pre-concieved messiah-mindset was so far from the truth! Child of God you may have come from a setting that is less than ideal, and your life may have been or may currently be anything but ideal, but do not lose faith! I know things may be crazy because you dont seem to come from an ideal background, or to have the best educational, health, financial or employment history! And I know that your Galilee has made you to not appear as the ideal candidate for a great life, or Gods blessings, but I assure you that as long as you are in Gods will, He has you exactly where He intended for you to be in this season! Do not let Galilee be your limitation! Let Galilee be your stepping stone into greatness! Dont you know? The rejected stone became the capstone! Halleluyah! Philip had a conviction that it is the Messiah who had called him to a life of purpose, and even Nathanaels doubt could not cloud his resolve! Philip musters his conviction and says Come and see! Halleluyah! This statement could mean anything to anyone! Yet what I hear here is a call to sight! And so today I am rallying you into sight! Into action! I speak to your doubt right now! Every doubt that denounces what God is saying over your life! Every doubt that makes you fail to believe that Gods will over your life is going to prevail! I speak to ALL that doubt and I say to it: COME AND SEE! God bless you. Just type MAKE MY GALILEE FRUITFUL or AMEN
