A FUN DAY TODAY BEHIND THE CAMERA AT THE WESTERN CONSERVATIVE SUMMIT Took more than 500 pictures today with my Nikon, so I’ve just sorted through and picked some I like. There will be more as I recover from 3 days in Denver. I open this group with kind of a touching set involving Casper and Cheryl Stockham’s daughter, Fayth, presenting Sarah Palin with an American Conservatives of Color Shirt. Interestingly, about 5 minutes earlier, Sarah had told Barb Childress that she liked Barb’s ACofC shirt. Sarah was very personable with everyone (her handlers would have liked to have pushed her on through) giving lots of hugs. She did take some extra time to visit with Fayth and to pose for some pictures with Casper and his family. I took many pictures of Sarah. Some weren’t at great angles because at any time there probably were 20 or more other cameras pointed her way. So in some pictures, like with Bo Snerdley (James Golden) of the Rush Limbaugh show, she was looking toward my camera and Bo was looking toward someone else. But Sarah is very photogenic and very gracious. After that first set there are photos of many other people you will recognize. They are somewhat random based on the first name I put on the picture. The Golden Eagle you will see above the head of Candidate Dawne Murray and her friend is not a sculpture. It is a beautiful bird trained to spread its wings when signaled by the handler. So this set has many interesting pictures and I’ll try to get some people tagged. A couple of the pictures are shots of the big screens in a main room when a panel was speaking about 40 yards from me. Those pictures came out better than expected. So enjoy. One more morning or so of the Western Conservative Summit in downtown Denver on 15th Street. Good work today by the American Conservatives of Color team. Jimmie
