A Flash Flood Watch remains until 7 PM tonight for the SE Missouri Ozarks and a small part of SW Illinois. Radar this morning shows a band of rain and thunderstorms from Colorado through Kansas..southern Missouri.. southern Illinois and into the TN Valley. Overnight, the heaviest rain has fallen over SE KS/SW MO/NW AR/NE OK. Light to moderate rain will spread northeast into the district today..however the heaviest rains will remain to the south. Flooding will be possible in Randolph County IL and into the SE Missouri Ozarks with any heavier showers. Additional rain today will range from a few tenths of an inch along the I-70 corridor to up to an inch in the SE Missouri Ozarks. Temperatures today will remain in the 50s..with falling temperatures in some locations. Storm total rainfall..in the eastern district has been heaviest on the Missouri side. Some of the official reporting station totals include: STL International... 0.83 Farmington... 1.22 Sparta IL.... 0.52 Cape Girardeau... 0.86 Columbia... 1.18 Storm total rainfall..in the western district has been much heavier..particularly in NE KS/NW MO into the KC Metro.
