A Godly Wife I truly thank the Lord for my wife Lynda. We will soon be celebrating another anniversary. I have not always been the perfect husband, and men don’t kid yourself you haven’t either. Why our wife stays with us is only a miracle from the Lord. Today, I went to my doctor to get my blood work done, and my wife Lynda was by my side. One thing I can say about Lynda is that she has “Always” loved her brothers and my family. Today, she was asking me about going and staying and helping with one of her brothers who is having a difficult time with his health and his wife’s health. As Lynda and I were talking I said, “Lynda we are not getting any younger and when we start losing our family in death it would be a shame if we did not let them know we loved them.” My wife has the go ahead to love her family and be with them. Today many families don’t take the time to be with one another very much. Yes, I have had my difficult times with some of my family members, but it is Satan always trying to divide and conquer. I can honestly say that I pray for Lynda’s family members by name and my family members by name daily. I have a prayer journal where I write down my entire prayer request and after my daily devotion and Bible study I pray for my entire prayer request. Yes, life is short on this earth and the great enemy called “death” can strike at any time without any warning. I have preached hundreds of funerals over the years and I have heard many family members standing around the casket saying, “If I only had another chance to tell so and so that I love them”. I believe that they would rather hear that you love them while they are alive …then talking to a casket that cannot hear. Yes, I thank the Lord for my wife Lynda and all that she has had to go through being married to a pastor. I truly believe that her rewards in heaven will be great!
