A Good Day in the Legislature Question period was a highlight. - TopicsExpress

A Good Day in the Legislature Question period was a highlight. I asked the minister to let us know how things were going with the Red Tape Reduction Report. When no one responded, the Speaker informed me that I was supposed to say which minister. I replied, Thats kinda the point. Who is responsible? and added since the government didnt know either, that I guessed that was why nothing was happening. The Health Minister tried answering because Id made a reference in my question to 8 layers of management in AHS (thats true, by the way - there really is). But he couldnt, and laughingly later apologized when we chatted in the break room. No one else did any better although the premier tried - referring to his new help center for small businesses trying to navigate the halls of bureaucracy. And I finished my response to the Throne Speech, pointing out the inadequacy of Bill one - a good start, but lots left to do... I used various examples to illustrate the erosion of property rights that has occurred through various bills over the past 4-5 years. I even managed to show urbanites how clauses in the bills might affect them. The Wildrose Official Opposition: Weve got your back, Albertans. In 2016 well have the rest of you covered too.
