A Great Teacher told me this past summer that I need to Ground - TopicsExpress

A Great Teacher told me this past summer that I need to Ground myself in order to stay focused in the work Im doing with Etymologies & Endings. I think its really important that we discuss Grounding techniques before we dive further into this project. Etymologies & Endings is not a pretty story, much like many of our personal stories do not start out pretty. Its easy to lose our footing when were in a dark place, and its even easier to stay in that dark place than it is to try to walk our way out of it again. In order to protect ourselves, we learn how to stay Grounded. So in order to Ground ourselves (and stay rooted in the physical realm while our spirit travels to other places) Great Teacher said to imagine a cord going through the center of our being, through to the Base chakra, down, down, down deep into the center of the Earth. She said to let the cord connect strongly through our Kundalini. She said to imagine the cord being made of something that you identify with personally, like branches or roots from a tree, a thread of gold, silver or copper, or even an umbilical cord or a beam of stars; and she said that her own cord is piano strings because she is connected so deeply to piano creatures. She said that after we are connected to the Earth with our cord, that we then need to connect in that same way with the Sun and the Moon and hold the connection, that the full connection makes a triangle where we can use the gravitational force to keep our selves secure, and that this method is stronger than Grounding yourself with the Earth alone. Finally she said, “Light the sage, because its a medicine, and to practice this technique daily; beginning with 5 minutes, and gradually moving up to practicing 15 minutes a day. She said that with this work we would be able to do it when we need to Ground on-the-spot. Please practice Grounding techniques throughout this project. If you are having a hard time with the content, please reach out and we can talk about this together. You are not alone in this journey.
