A Great man once said, the ultimate measure of a man is not where - TopicsExpress

A Great man once said, the ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at Times of challenge and controversy. The true neighbor will risk his life for the welfare of others, in dangerous valleys and hazardous pathways, he will lift some bruised and beaten brother to a higher and more noble life. Dr. Martin luther king jr. In our society today we have the exact opposite view on the idea of (the measure of a man) today the measure of a man is defined by outward appearance rather than inner spirit, you see the outward appearance will oftentimes dictate how a man acts or carries himself, if he feels like hes (swagged up) then you will see and hear it in his attitude, the way he walks will also change but again its based on how HE feels he LOOKS, for instance, I love to play basketball, when I played ball it was less about how you looked on the court and more about HOW YOU PLAYED, when someone said (he got GAME, THATS what HE HAD, GAME) today when a player steps on the court, hes got his sleeve on his shooting arm, hes all tatted up, hes got the best pair of shoes on and oversized shorts, automatically he is considered to have GAME, when all he truly has is appearance, he looks the part but cant play a lick of basketball, and that same principle applies in society today, all a man has to do is look the part and he is considered a man or the man, but when you look deeper you will find the true character of the man, and oftentimes what you see is EXACTLY what you get, some that merely looks the part but his heart is not in it, your measure is your CHARACTER in all situations, your character will define who you are and will dictate how people look at you, question, if looks really played a part in your measure, what would they have thought about (john the Baptist) as he emerged from the wilderness? With his raiment of camels hair and a leather girdle about his loins and eating locust and wild honey?
