A H Warrens planning will be considered by the Area West Committee, the report and recommendation will be made available on SSDC website prior to the meeting. All those that have made representations will receive a letter detailing the date and time of the meeting.The next meeting of Area West is 21 January 2015 but the agenda has not yet been prepared for that meeting. SSDC ecologist has rejected the need for an ecology survey on the basis that it is only necessary where it is know there are protected species . Coombe farm manager wrote in a recent letter, barn owl boxes have been put up for nesting on Coombe land. We are also fortunate to have at least 3 species of bats in the area, not to mention badgers all are protected. Coombe Farm has ponds on site and three other fishing lakes a very close by. Difficult to understand how Mr Franklyn,SSDC ecologist, can justify his decision not to request a survey.
