A HAND UP: Unemployed and caring for her four children, Ms. T - TopicsExpress

A HAND UP: Unemployed and caring for her four children, Ms. T found herself unable to remain in her housing but could not afford her own place. She was caught in the cycle of not being able to afford childcare because she was unemployed and not being able to get a job because she did not have childcare. She and her children entered the Providence House program in late 2012. Within one year, she obtained her GED. She says that receiving her diploma gave her confidence that she can accomplish any goal to which she sets her mind. She graduated our program earlier this year and has relocated to Dallas to be closer to family and has enrolled in college full-time.
