A *HUGE* thank you to all who took the time to send a card or jot a note to my soldier. He reports that there were many, many envelopes awaiting him and still coming throughout this week!! The bus left Fort Bragg this morning and took the 62 remaining men (from the 110 that started) back to Camp Mackall for step #4...Assessment and Selection. The next 3 1/2 weeks will be the most strenuous to date, ending with a 24 mile run/ruck march in full battle rattle (boots, fatigues and 70 lb backpacks) on Good Friday. There will be much physical testing (individual and team testing in wet and dirty conditions and with/without sleep), day/night land navigation training and the special treat of The Nasty Nick obstacle course one week from today on the 4th. (Google that one the next time you think your gym workout is tough.) There will be no communication avenues available, but please send up an encouraging thought, a good wish and as many prayers as possible for resolve and determination, for his feet to stay in good shape (VERY important!), and that he continue to remain injury free. Thanking all in advance for prayers on his behalf.
