A Halloween Special Dunwich Building Part 2: Li and Fung held their Chinese assault rifles tightly in their hands, and walked carefully in the many dark corridors and turns in Dunwich Building’s East Wing. There wasn’t any signs that their comrades had been in this part of the building at all. The prewar building’s walls were rusted in brown and green, tables were flipped, chairs fallen, terminal left turned on even after 200 years without usage. No signs for their comrades, or raiders, or any hostiles, yet something about this place tell Fung to never lower his rifle, not even for a second. “You heard that captain?!? Li screamed suddenly and broke the silence. “What is it?” Fung enquired. “I heard…I thought I heard….a moan from behind that door…” Li stuttered, as if regretting he had said anything. “Are you sure?” Fung said, turning his head to face to blur rusted door. “There is some light underneath the door, it could mean someone is behind it” Fung thought. Fung held the handle of his rifle tightly in his hand, he signaled Li to give him cover while he opens the door. Fung slowly reached for the handle, he could hear his heart bounding in his chest, he had no idea why opening a door could be so terrifying, is It because of the unknown of what lies behind the door? Is it about this damn place? Or something else… Fung’s hand touched the cold metal knob of the door. He could hear Li’s breathing hard and fast behind him. Fung grabbed hold on the knob and gave it a twist. The door swung open and revealed what laid inside the room. Strangely enough, there was no light, it was an empty room with lockers and cleaning tools. It was clearly a broom cupboard… Fung stepped into the dark room, and intended to find the source of the light he saw earlier… *Crack* Fung realized he stepped on something hard, he removed his right foot off the floor and found a shinny black circle. “A button?” Fung wondered “Argh….ar…..ARGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Li screamed pierced through the hall. The scream was so loud it made Fung jumped backwards a few steps, he then turned and look at Li, who was frozen in his pose, his finger pointing into the emptiness darkroom. “what is it?? Li?! Answer me !” Fung demanded, his heart was pounding so hard at his chest it almost hurts to breathe. But Li did not answer. Fung looked at his horrified comrade turned and ran away into the darkness, screaming at the top of his lungs in fear. “Li!!! Hold on!” Fung shouted behind him. Fung chased after his comrade, through half a dozen halls and corridors within the building. Li ran inside an office, where the floor had collapsed and broken off, he was standing at the edge of the edge. Fung caught up to him, stretched out his arm and grabbed hold of Li’s shoulder, right before the collapsed ruined of the building. “LET! GO! OF ME!!!!” Li screamed, struggling against Fung’s grasp. “Li! AT EASE!!! You are all right!!!” Fung was trying his best to calm his comrade. “NO! NO!!!! LET GO!!! LET GO OF ME!!!!” Li screamed, kicking and flailing his arms in the air. “STOP IT YOU FOOL !!! We are at the edge of…” Fung tried to get through to his crazed comrade. But it was too late. Before Fung could finish, Li; in his petrified confusion, had fallen off the edge and into the abyss of the stomach of the building. “NO!!!!!!” Fung yelled, his arm stretched into the air, but his efforts were unrewarded. …. A few moments pause, he could hear a painful moan from below. “Li? Are you all right? ANSWER ME! SOLDIER!” Fung shouted into the abyss. … Another few moments past, Fung’s call was answered by a horde air piercing screams and dozens of bright yellow eyes from below. “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
