A History Lesson: (Chaim) Haym Salomon was a Patriot in American history who helped to finance the Revolutionary War. This wandering Jew from Poland came to America, married and became a financial entrepreneur. Salomon raised huge sums of money through business transactions on various European and American markets. He gave everything including his personal fortune to help the Revolutionary War effort and establish the United States. Despite financial setbacks at the end of his life, Salomons name is forever linked to the idealism and success of the American Revolution, and to the contributions Jews have made to the cause of American freedom. * I will add that Jewish & Christian contributions to this country contributed to what the world knows as American Exceptionalism. To reach forward in time, I believe that Americas support of the establishment of a Jewish Homeland State in 1948 certainly contributed to Israeli Exceptionslism. What a blessed Quid pro Quo!
