A Huge Thank You to a local photograher and in my opinion artist~ G. Wayne Rhodes for donating this Fabulous Matted, Framed Picture titled, Blue Heron at Assateague. I love this work of art~ this is a great piece and so vibrant in color. G. Wayne Rhodes views photography as the art of painting with light. His landscapes are particularly luminous, revealing the story of each place. He is attracted to scenes he can imagine as paintings, with the understanding that, as Monet said, “it is the surrounding atmosphere which gives subjects their true value.” He has been engaged in photography for most of his life, but it wasn’t until 2007 that he decided to pursue it as a serious art form. His first exhibit, “Windows on Virginia,” was in 2012 in Virginia Beach, where Wayne lives with his wife, poet and author Suzanne Rhodes.
