A JOINT HEIR WITH CHRIST (Gen 25:1-11). Serahs death permitted - TopicsExpress

A JOINT HEIR WITH CHRIST (Gen 25:1-11). Serahs death permitted Abraham to take another wife in Keturah who bore him more children. They were entitled to his inheritance but Isaac was the sole-ownership of all because God promised to increase his descendant through Isaac (Gen 17:19). He gave gifts to all his children and sent them away but to Isaac his heir, he gave all things. These include the promises and blessings of Abraham (v.5). So also our heavenly Father, the owner of all things both visible and invisible allows all to experience his goodness such as the sun, rain etc but to his son Jesus, he made heir of all things. All who are truly born again are joint heir with Christ (Gal 3:29; Rom 8:16-17). Hence we can boldly declare that Abrahams blessing are ours because even the Holy Spirit testifies to such fact that we are co-heirs with Christ if indeed we share in his sufferings to share in his glory. You can become joint heir with Christ today if you willingly accept Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour into your life.
