A Johnson City man was charged with evading arrest after leading Greeneville police on a low-speed pursuit Friday afternoon. Officer Jeff Craft clocked a silver Honda Civic going 62 in a 45 mile per hour zone along the West Andrew Johnson Highway near the Baileyton Road exit around 12:45 Friday afternoon. He caught up with the car near the Summer Street exit and followed it with lights activated for two miles. The vehicle traveled 20 to 25 miles per hour up Summer Street before turning onto Holston Drive and stopping at the Holston Home. The driver, 29-year-old Emmanuel Odame, reportedly said that he was not from here and did not know he had to stop. Odame was charged with evading arrest and transported to the Greene County Detention Center, where he posted bond pending a court appearance on Monday.
