A KEEN OBSERVATION LEADS TO AN ARREST! This week Officer N. Stucking was patrolling in the area of West Lake Avenue due to the recent burglaries. She noticed a pickup truck on the street with a large amount of equipment being loaded into the back by two males. Off. Stucking asked the two males on what they were doing and the suspects replied “picking up scrap”. While speaking with the suspects she noticed a basement door open in the area that they were walking from, as well as a freezer and water heater in the back of the pickup and other metal objects were scattered in the driveway. Suddenly, one of the males began to but Officer Stucking was able to detain the other one. After a check of the house, it was discovered a back basement window was broken out and there appeared to be missing items. The owner was located and identified his stolen items. The suspect was arrested and charged with burglary. GREAT JOB!
