A LETTER TO MY HERO, ROLE MODEL AND FRIEND. (JAMES NDERITU WANGOMBE) Hae sir, am good. I have decided to write you a letter- writing with a heavy heart and tears flowing-, my hero,m 1 year since you left us. Allow me to make a confession that life has not been the same for the past one year, we miss the great man you were, the spiritual father who guided the family well. We dearly miss you Babu. I want to thank you sincerely for bringing me up together with my cousins particularly Denny Dee, you always told anyone who cared to listen that youve seen us grow from the days we were toddlers. You instilled in us a high level of discipline that has sustained us and built our personality to date. I remember the day you beat us to death for stealing sugar, cuzo and i will always keep this in mind. the phrase, mum eeeeh, uka mwana arira will always remind me of the jovial grandpa you were reminding me of my younger days. Your resolve and effort to guide your family - your wives, children and grandchildren- to be the best has always been envied by so many. You always made sure that no one suffered, that we all got the best education and succeeded in our lives. Talking of your family babu, your two house are good and very much stable. i completed school this may and hoping to further my studies from next year. @denny dee as it was your wish now works in Dubai where uncle is. your youngest grandchild - Maureen is now walking. Nderitu, Sydney, Chris and Justin are also growing up perfectly. Armoured Odysseus Muthiga, Njoki Muthiga Krystine Sams and Jamrock Nderitu van Iyn are also in good health and still studying. I mentioned about your being the spiritual authority of the family which we miss today. The fact that you made us pray each day, read the Bible, taught us to be righteous, and care for humanity and above all seek Christ has made me who i am. You ensured that we all had Bibles, btw your bible is in the safe hands of Purity Preetie Gitonga. I remember you wanted that, prayed for her daily and made sure she was okay. God will surely hear your cry concerning her. Your home district Kagumo is cool, am sure the miss the days you opened your house as a prayer tent for them. Let me update you on the recent happenings here in Kenya. The elections were done in March and the jubilee alliance ascended to power with Uhuru as president and Ruto as his deputy. We now have a new structure of government that promise a better Kenya. Your favorite news reporter Evelyn Wambui of Citizen Tv is still doing it big. About your best friend, trusted buddy and confidant Hon. Waruru Kanja, he is well despite the old age. He really mourned your death, he loved you so much. Babu, i miss you dearly. today as we mark the 1st anniversary since you left us to be with the Lord, we can only look back to the times and moments we shared with you, learn from them and much more celebrate you for your great role in our lives. Grandpa am sure you are always wishing us well in heaven and looking after us. I love you so much Babu. Today i celebrate you, my grandpa, friend, role model, mentor, servant and hero.
