A LOT OF PEOPLE ASK ME HOWS UR LIFE BEING A DJ...ITS FUN RGHT?? #NOT_EXACTLY_DUDE Being a good DJ is hardwork. Its not just about pushing buttons behind a high wall or looking cool behind a DJ booth. Theres a lot of practice involved. A huge library of music to use and have ready at any given notice. A decent pair of headphones. Hardware. Software. Sunglasses to counteract the bright strobe lights and flash photography from drunken dancers. Did I mention rhythm? I was taught the fundamentals of DJing from my elder BRO Onkar Singh AKA DJ $UNNY. Im shocked he weathered my frustrations with the techinical terms, software questions, and utter confusion. It was a difficult task for me to comprehend but I like challenges. I learned to DJ for a local MARRIAGE PARTY in March 2008. After two months of continual ripping of my music, building my MP3 library, listening to a lot of music, learning about Beats Per Minute (BPM), and LOTS of trial and error, I debuted my DJing infront of 300 people AT TANTRA KOLKATA. I was nervous but as the crowd danced to the music I was spinning on my laptop, I felt like I succeeded. And I only screwed up a couple times. No one seemed to notice.
