A LOVELY MESSAGE FROM OUR MARKET MANAGER at Eumundi Markets that I thought I would share......... Hello everyone, at last the magical season is here! We are very excited that our Eumundi Night Markets commence tonight. Last night I sat near our big sparkling Christmas tree and soaked up the lights and magic it creates. Whilst immersing myself in Christmas cheer, I looked around at all the hard work Gavin and our ground crew have done, and contemplated what has gone into the lead up to these markets. Our office has been a flurry of phone calls, invitations, approvals, interviews - all with a hint of panic, a pinch of excitement and a whole lot of blood, sweat and caffeine! Georgia, Katie, Jan and Roz have all been integral to the behind the scenes operations of our Eumundi Night Markets as well as managing their usual workload of the event we hold here twice every week. As I sat and under the light of our big tree, a mother and her child, about 7 years old, came to admire the lights. They stood holding hands, the child looking up in amazement, staring at the tree with his mouth open. You could see the sparkles in his eyes and the excitement building. As his mother crouched down to say something, the child leaped at her, throwing his arms around her and gave the biggest squeezy hug. It was truly a beautiful site. It feels so good to know that we were a part of making that happen. Not just us here in the office, but all of us as a market. We create experiences for people. People come to markets to shop for many reasons, but one of the most important ones, I believe, is for experiences like I witnessed last night. We interact with them, entertain them, impress them, entice them and intrigue them. Each customer to your stall is there, not just for the product or service, but the experience. To have all their senses tingling. So as tonight unfolds and our Saturday and Wednesday markets grow, make sure you remember we make experiences. We bring families and friends together to offer something they cannot get anywhere else. Lets make some magic happen!
