A La Broquerie man is facing nine charges after RCMP were called to a domestic dispute Sunday morning. Police were called shortly after 10 a.m. to a home in the village of La Broquerie. It was reported that the female victim had been pushed, choked and threatened by her boyfriend. When police attended, the suspect grabbed a large hunting knife, causing the situation to become very dangerous for all involved. Police eventually were able to convince the suspect to drop the knife and he was taken into custody without further incident. The 31 year-old man is now facing 9 charges relating to assault, assault with a weapon, uttering threats and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace. He has been remanded into custody.
