A Lesson From David Words have power. It is therefore important to keep a tight control of our tongue. The Bible shows how David who, even at times of severe attacks from his enemy, chose to have a trusting attitude towards God, and to speak of the Lord’s goodness in his situation. Let’s learn to do this. “Lord, You are worthy of my praise. Let my tongue speak only words of Your truth and of hope. Let my speech be filled with thanksgiving and gratitude. I now proclaim Your victory in my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.” I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (Psalms 27:13 KJV) For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? (1 Corinthians 3:3 KJV)
