A Letter from God #81 Trust in Me with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Me, and I will direct your path. Even if it doesn’t seem to make sense, follow My leading according to My Word. It’s tempting to think you know more than the direction I provide. It’s tempting to think, “Well, Lord, I know I’m not to lean on my own understanding. I know I’m to trust You. But what You’re doing doesn’t seem to make sense.” At that point, you have a decision to make - whether to follow My word or to do your own thing. The basic problem facing our world is not just social inequity, or lack of education, or even physical hunger. You are finding that highly educated and well-fed people have greeds, hates, passions, and lusts that are not eliminated by education. The root of sin in your heart is extremely deep, and this is the basic cause of the world’s problems; only My fire can burn it out. This is precisely what I came to do. I didn’t come to treat symptoms. I came to get at the very heart of man’s disease. Overwhelming victory is yours through Me who loved you enough to die for you. --God
