A Letter from SolarisCare Founder Dr David Joske: Hello SolarisCare Supporters I am suffering on day 11 of completing a Dry July. I founded the SolarisCare Foundation, to help people get through their cancer journey by accessing safe and supervised complementary therapies to help with cancer symptoms and treatment side effects. This year I decided to participate in Dry July to help raise awareness and support for our centres. To be honest, Im not a big drinker, and I thought this would be easy. Turns out, (I have fess up), its much harder than I thought. In particular: 1. Not joining in with a glass of a cheeky Bordeaux at French class each Wednesday evening is HARD. 2. Not sampling the cooking wine when putting together a spaghetti bolognese on a rainy winter evening is HARD! 3. Abstaining from a thimbleful of my favourite whisky on a Sunday night is HARD TOO!! But then I think of my patients and all that they have to miss for several months, and it becomes bearable again...
