A Letter from a Physician , 1996 I am a doctor, Although I am always tired , even though I never eat my meals at their specific time , though every night I am awaken by someone calling me and saying come here , we have a patient! , I am still running and not giving up , the factor which makes me keep going is not me but it is the smile of that kid whom they brought to the hospital in pain and left with a smile or it is that crying mother who comes to me and say please take care of my son , he is very sick or it is that sad father who comes to me and say my daughter is dying , please make her better , she is the only thing my wife has left for me! or it is that old man who enters the hospital with no hope of living again but leaves with a smile and says thank you , doctor .... Yes , it is these factors which gives courage to my soul and tell me there is patient waiting for you outsid
