A MAN IS QUALIFIED TO LEAD A CHURCH ASSEMBLY/ CONGREGATION NOT BY - TopicsExpress

A MAN IS QUALIFIED TO LEAD A CHURCH ASSEMBLY/ CONGREGATION NOT BY BEING AN APOSTLE, PROPHET, TEACHER, PASTOR OR EVANGELIST BUT BY BEING ORDAINED AS AN ELDER OR DEACON This is hard TRUTH but is necessary to correct errors which are against God’s divine order and pattern for leadership in congregations. Many because of these gifts and callings they make themselves or ordain themselves to lead congregations/ ministries and ignore the divine order of leadership set up by God. This is a spirit of rebellion to the ways of God. Today many by being called a prophet started leading their own churches while others by performing miracles have started leading their own churches. Is this the order that is found in scriptures? Can the Spirit of God fight against the divine order set up by God? Did the 12 Apostles follow this pattern? A man is qualified to lead a congregation (not as alone) by being ordained as: 1. An ELDER 2. A DEACON Tit_1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: Act_20:17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. Jas_5:14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: A man is not qualified to lead a congregation not by having the following gifts/callings: 1. Apostle 2. Prophet 3. Teacher 4. Pastor 5. Evangelist The above gifts/callings are directly from the Lord and not from anywhere else. Eph 4:11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; Eph 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Eph 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: It is the Lord that gives these gifts and not anyone and not any college. We can only train people with already these gifts to enhance their operation only and not to give. Today many are ordained by men as Pastors. This is blasphemy! Ephesians 4:11 says it is the Lord that gives this gift and also the other gifts. If anyone was ordained as a Pastor by men then they are very likely not to have the gift of a Pastor. Nevertheless, it is good to ordain as an Elder someone with the gift of the pastor only if they have Elder qualifications as indicated in the holy scriptures. 1Ti 3:10 And let these also first be proved; then let them use the office of a deacon, being found blameless. 1Ti 3:11 Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, faithful in all things. 1Ti 3:12 Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. 1Ti 3:13 For they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. 1Ti 3:1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 1Ti 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 1Ti 3:3 Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; 1Ti 3:4 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 1Ti 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) Tit 1:5 For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: Tit 1:6 If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. Tit 1:7 For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; Tit 1:8 But a lover of hospitality, a lover of good men, sober, just, holy, temperate; Tit 1:9 Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. The gifts/callings mentioned in Ephesians 4 are directly from the Lord in heaven but to be an Elder or Deacon an ordinary person or Apostle, Prophet, Teacher, Pastor or Evangelist has to have the scriptural qualifications, and if they qualify they can be ordained as an ELDER or a DEACON. Otherwise they remain only with their gifts which they have to use in the Body and in fulfilling the Great Commission. Today Satan has blinded minds of many to think that the positions ELDER and DEACON are so inferior that they make titled Pastors to lead ELDERS and DEACONS. It should be several ELDERS and several DEACONS leading a congregation and NOT ONE MAN! ELDERS ARE MADE OVERSEERS TO THE FLOCK AND ARE EXPECTED TO FEED THE CHURCH OF GOD Act 20:17 And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church. … Act 20:28 Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 1Pe 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 1Pe 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over Gods heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. POINTS TO NOTE 1. From verse 17 above to verse 28, the Apostle Paul was speaking to the Elders of the Church who were leaders. 2. Elders are overseers over the flock of God in assemblies/ congregations 3. The Holy Ghost makes Elders as heavenly chosen overseers of the flock of God in churches on earth
