A MESSAGE FOR THOSE LUOS WHO ARE LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE IN LUO LEADERSHIP SO AS TO LEAD THEM TO ECONOMIC PROSPERITY. IT’S ALL IN YOUR MIND. BE YOUR OWN LEADER AND LEAD YOURSELF INTO PROSPERITY AND STOP WAITING FOR A MESSIAH. (Someone once said, if you want to hide information from a black man, then write a book, because black people don’t read. If not so, then I hope no one will find this post too long and get the information ) Luos are becoming more and more stupid and desperate by the day even at this age in time when information on how to lead and make your life better is everywhere. They are still waiting for a leader to lead their lives and blaming their failures on the Odingas. They are looking for who to blame next for their failures. They have blamed the Odingas for their failures and now some want Kidero or whoever to lead them so that they can find who to blame one day in case they fail or still cling to poverty. What Luos need is not dialogue or a Luo leader to lead them into economic prosperity. LUOS NEED SELF LEADERSHIP…Personal Leadership. Leadership starts with you and the first person you need to lead is yourself. Stop waiting for Kidero or whoever to come and change your life because you think Raila has failed to do so. He will not come. You and your family will be what you lead them to be and not what Kidero or Raila or whoever leads them to be. It is upon you to lead them out of poverty and into prosperity. It’s all in your mind. I laugh when I hear LUOS say that they need dialogue or someone else to lead them to prosperity because Raila and the Odingas have not led the LUOS well for the past 50 years and that’s why they are poor. When did the Odingas tell Luos not to make money or seek prosperity, Is he the one who told Luos to have the GONYWA mentality?. Leadership starts with you. Your community and Your family will be what you make them and not what Kidero or Raila or whoever makes them or tell them to be. Your economic situation is what you make yourself and not what Kidero or Raila or whoever make for you. What Raila’s and Kidero’s sons and daughters are today, are what they made them. They did not wait for some LUO leader to come and lead them into dialogue and prosperity. You are also what your Parents made you to be or what you strived to make yourself to be. If you are not satisfied with your situation then please start today and work towards changing it and stop blaming it on some leader. Start with yourself and stop waiting for an alternative to Raila. Before blaming Raila, ask yourself first, what have I done for myself to improve my life and what have I done for my community to improve it. Self leadership, that is what you need as a LUO and not to look for someone to lead you. We also need to help these people we want to lead us and make it easy for them to lead us in whatever way they will come into our lives, politically, economically or whichever way. We have democracy also brought to us by the Odingas among others and it allows us to choose whoever we would like to lead us. So why blame Raila for a bad political leadership if you can choose whoever you want to lead you? Do not sit somewhere and wait for him or Kidero to come and lead you and give you money to eat. During Nyayo era we saw big Harambees and donations which cannot be traced to this day, meaning all this money did not change the society economically at all. Making noise that Raila gave out nomination papers to his friends, yes, why was he suppose to give nomination papers to those who were not going to help the party in any way. Loyalty comes first and that is what he did not see in those denied papers. The solution was for them to join other parties or independent parties and seek the peoples mandate from there. Why try to cling on Railas back and if he says no then you start calling him bad names and he has given you the solution of free choice through democracy? Take responsibility for yourself and your own life and stop blaming your failures on Raila. If the Odingas have led LUOS astray for the last 50 years, does it mean you are like a stupid sheep who just follows a shepherd without thinking. You have your own mind, where did it go for those last 50 yrs when you were being led astray by the Odingas?. Ask yourself how old are you and why did you allow the Odingas to lead you astray for so long? After being led astray, then why do you need Kidero or whoever to lead you again, and what guarantees do you have that he will not lead you astray too. Ask yourself, what have you done for yourself and not what has Kidero or Raila done for me or what will they do for me. Raila has brought devolution so take advantage of it. Kidero has already taken advantage of it by being a Governor. Be your own leader and shape your own life. That will make you not blame the Odingas or the Kideros in future for your own failures and poverty. Success depend upon the fighting spirit of each person. The big thing is not what happens to us in life, but what we do about what happens to us. The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, nor a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will. Do the LUOS have the will to take responsibility of their lives themselves without blaming someone. Raila does not give handouts like Kidero and that is why some LUOS are starting not to like him. Raila has taught you how to fish by creating a level playing ground by fighting against corruption and fighting for equality and devolution to enable you to fish for yourselves. Kidero gives you fish thus making you be in a state of being a beggar and eventually taking advantage of you. Kidero nearly run down Mumias for his selfish gains. Is it now that LUOS think he will do something for their own good? No, what he does only suits him but not you, he does it only for his own good. Luos were ranked as one of the poorest communities in Kenya sometimes back. With all this uncultivated land, Lake Victoria and idle human resource someone wonders why. Luos should Note that Raila is a national leader and not leader of some tribe who will go out to loot and bring you the loot to feast on.
