A MESSAGE FROM DARRYL MORIN, LULAC NATIONAL VP-MIDWEST: July 16, 2014 National Board League of United Latin American Citizens 1133 19th Street, NW Suite 1000 Washington, DC 20036 Dear National Board Members: It is with great humility that I received dozens of calls from LULAC leaders across the United States and many more from our membership asking that I reconsider by decision. It was a truly humbling experience. From many of you I heard the excitement surrounding our successful national convention and new programs, but I also heard the disappointment regarding the events of last Saturday. After further consideration, and for your calls, texts and emails, as well as the personal efforts of LULAC National President Margaret Moran, who refused to accept my resignation and pledged her support for reforms, I today announce my intention to continue serving as LULAC National VP-Midwest. Thank you all once again for your support. I will call upon all of you again as we together will prioritize reforms and improvements that once again will protect the privilege, sanctity, and intimacy of each member’s individual vote.
