A MESSAGE FROM THE PASTOR. JEALOUSY. Hello friends and families. We thank GOD for allowing us to have another assembly again. Today we are going to preach on a topic which is taboo to many people. We must talk about it because it is one of the reasons that hinders our blessings. If you will open your bibles with me, let us see what GOD says about JEALOUSY. 1 Peter 2:1 Rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy and slander of any kind. Hebrews 13:5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. Proverbs 14:30 A heart at peace gives life to the body. Envy rots the bones. God alone chooses who to bless and who not to bless. You maybe faithfully paying your tithes for twenty years and yet your next door neighbor who is an atheist has blessings all around him. I know this maybe hard for you to take, but rather than feeling jealoused of this person, why not tell them how GOD loves them so much to shower HIS blessings on them despite their non belief. This attitude may allow GOD to accelerate your blessings too. God has giving each one of us a gift. My cousin Flo Makia who heads our bible study ministry and also heads our sermons ministry is very gifted in the bible. If you have been following her teachings on Wednesdays you will know what I am talking about. Whatever your problem is, this blessed Woman of GOD will direct you to a verse in the bible. I am gifted in Prayer, Inspiration , encouragement and mentoring. We both use our respective gifts to compliment each other. Some of you may be saying but PE you are a Man of GOD and you supposed to be well versed in the bible. That is your opinion and you are entitled to your opinion. Last year I wrote that it is not about how much you know the bible from Genesis to Revelations but its all about a verse such as Mathew 19:26, Then Jesus told them, to man this is impossible but with GOD all things are possible or Joshua 1 :9 Have I not command you? Be strong and be of good courage; do not be afraid nor be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. I use the best that GOD has favored me with. I am not jealoused because Flo is blessed with more knowledge and I know that she is not jealoused that my prayers can bring uncontrollable tears in a room or some one will consider me a mentor or spiritual adviser. Just because the Neurosurgeon makes more money is not a reason for the pediatrician to be jealoused of Him. GOD gave both of them different gifts. Let us learn to celebrate the victories of our friends and even our haters. Let us not allow our emotions to cloud our thinking and attitudes. The writer Neil Erskelin wrote; We will never be released from emotions such as hatred or jealousy until we realize that other people are not responsible for our happiness. As I close this message, let me once again remind you that GOD has blessed each one of us with a gift. Be who GOD says you are, Never try to be someone you are not. Do not envy others for their gifts. You have something they dont have. Use your gifts with passion and compassion and dont worry about the financial gains. GOD will take care of that.
