A Mayor in New Brunswick and his town Councillors lead a peaceful civil disobedience against shale gas fracking exploration just outside of their town limits. A judge orders them out and the police move in with pepper spray and rubber bullets attacking the Mayor, Councillors and townspeople. They defend themselves and all hell breaks loose, resulting in police cars being torched. Is it not possible that the police could have handled the situation better?
