A Member is requesting feedback: I need to know if Im over reacting and how to handle a situation. Tonight my husband got mad at one of our pet cats because it had broken a birds wing. He was swearing effing cat! Picked him up by his tail and threw him out of the garden. This was in front of our seven and three year old girls. He then said, Girls this is what happens when your cat plays with birds. and twisted the injured birds neck in front of them. Then he saw our other cat in the vegetable garden digging itself a little hole to do its business. He went off his face, You stupid effing cat!! And went to grab it but it got away. He yelled at me and the girls that if the cats catch another bird or dig in his garden again he is going to take them to the cats home. My three year old was upset that daddy had killed the bird, and my seven year old ran to her room in tears and wouldnt let daddy kiss her goodnight because she was so upset that he said he would get rid of her cat. I cuddled her to sleep. Its her first pet, her sister is disabled and this cat to her is a huge comfort. My husband knows that, yet he was dead serious in his threat. What do I do? I cant let him act like that in front of them and I cant let him take their beloved cats to the cats home. But what do I do??
