A Memorial was held at Post 41 in Phoenix for Paige M. Martinez of Tempe,Az. a Latina writer, Producer, Director and Film Director. Paige passed away last November of an illness and was currently producing a documentary on Legendary Musician Chapito Chavarria of Phoenix. Paige was a skilled writer and produced many films and documentaries aired on television and on the silver screen. She lived in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and attended New York University of New York where she received her Masters of Arts. I first met her at Post 41 American Legion when she was beginning to start the documentary on Chapito. My first impression of Paige was that She was an ocean of knowledge and had a wealth of talent! Although she was careful in sharing this knowledge, I knew that she had a great future to share with the Latino Community.
