A Message for the Cocky and Arrogant Individual by: Jerrin Scott Holt *Even today’s sadly over-abundant and ignorant so called “super-swagged out” folks with no real credentials or accomplishments… The absolute disadvantage of being cocky and full of oneself is that your focus becomes merely set upon yourself and what you feel, need and want. This in turn blinds you from normally functioning within the workings of the world you are forced to share with everyone else who is just as entitled as you. You deny the responsibility and advantageous God-like factor to be compassionate and master selflessness. With such a concentrated focus, you lose the ability to learn from others, become aware of the changes around you all the while leaving yourself open for enemy danger that can only be seen and avoided by way of vision afforded to us through humility and God’s favor. The self-centered person does not know peace, stillness and is consistently consumed with the inevitable torture of stress, fear of failure and meaningless and weightless concerns that require wasted energy. Ultimately, a cocky person will unfavorably experience that shattering devastation of clipped wings brought about by God’s arrow of humbleness and will be forced to return to the very ground they once felt too supreme to walk on.
