A Monday Mantra Moment: Chant Teree Meher daa bolnaa, Tudh Aagai Ardaas, Guru Guru Wahe Guru, Guru Ram Das, Aud Guray Nameh, Jugaad Guray Nameh, Sat Guray Nameh, Siri Guru Dayvay Nameh. Translation: Oh Guru Ram Das, this is my prayer to you. May my words be from you and may my mind be a source of knowledge and ecstasy that wisdom may come as I act as a servant of the Infinite. I bow to the Primal Guru. I bow to the Guru throughout the Ages. I bow to the Guru that is True here and now. I bow to the great Guru that will always and forever be. You can listen to a short clip of myself, Lisa and Fiona singing this invocation at our last chant circle. The melody that we are singing was written by Snatam Kaur, GuruGanesha and Livtar Singh. Yogi Bhajan, used to chant this mantra before every class he taught. Snatam continues the tradition, saying everytime she chants it, it brings her right back to the image of Yogi Bhajan chanting it. I find that there are certain mantras that act as gateways or portals into instant sacred space.... this mantra seems to be one of them. Enjoy!
