A Mother and her son went for a walk and the following dialogue - TopicsExpress

A Mother and her son went for a walk and the following dialogue ensued between them. Mother: Son, you have offended me Son: Mum, when and how? Mother: You left the house very early and came back late. Son: Oh, sorry mum, I went with some friends and we visited several places, Im really sorry, I should have told you. Mother: Im happy you have realized your fault, Im sure it wont happen again. *Few days later, the son came back home looking very dirty and the mother started questioning him.* Mother: Son, you have started again. What happened this time? You look so rough and dirty. Son: Oh mummy, I had a lot of fun today… cant really explain Mother: Im sure you know what it will cost me to remove those stains from your shirt? Son: Mum, you have always removed stains; I plead with you to remove these ones also, please… Mother: When are we going to stop arguing like this? When will you change totally and stop stressing me and making me talk unnecessarily? Son: Soon mum, I will grow very soon Mother: Then grow up fast, please Son: Ok, I promise to grow *Right in the middle of the discussion, a bird flew past them and the son went after it; he even jumped into the bush, embracing grasses just to catch up with the bird. The mother looked at him, shook her head and said “Oh! My son is not ready to grow”* What an irresponsible child! The mother gave up on him and left him to roam in the bush. Most Christians are like the son, they are not ready to grow. Are you in this category? Romans 6:1-2. Do you commit the same sin over and over again? John 8:9. Is your conscience is always judging you? You may be going to church, you hear the word of God all the time, but it doesnt sink into you. Are you finding it difficult to stand and maintain a steady Christian life? Are you easily lured into sin? Is there a particular sin weighing you down? Do you find it difficult to study the bible and pray regularly? Do you struggle to live a holy life? Heb. 3:15, 4:7. Please consider your ways. Harden not your heart. You need a change. You need to come back home and make things right with God before it is too late. You will not live forever, so make your life count. Make your ways right before your heavenly Father. Today is an opportunity, Jesus is calling you. Prayer: OH GOD, GIVE US A HEART OF REPENTANCE TO COME BACK TO YOU TODAY IN JESUS’ NAME… “Amen” FEEL FREE TO JOIN OUR GROUP HERE:
