A Mothers challenge for Life (Volume1) Once, there was a little girl With short brown hair and shiny curls, Her smile was always showing And her eyes forever glowing. All she knew was school then home Without a chance of growing on her own, She married at a very young age Only to find herself, closing a chapter to begin a new page. Much too young to know what true love was all about She was forcibly pushed to accept a miserable route, Now this girl had to act the part of a lady Whose life took curves and turns into being shady. Years went by, while she continued growing Determination kept her marriage going, Her inner light burned brightly As her eyes shed tears nightly. A heavy chain laid around her neck Always with a feelings of a broken wreck, Somehow she found strength to manage her days For now she had children to raise. Time passed and her children grew old Until she felt she had nothing left to hold, Twenty-five years passed She realized this life was not meant to last. With bravery on her side, and her head held high She kissed his forehead and said Youve taken the best years of my life, stabbed my heart with your sharp knife, but one thing you never took, my inner happiness, for now your turn has come to live with that loneliness. My divorce was finalized To a new day, a new chapter for which I rise. Anna Azabi~
