A Moving Testimonial Just Received When I asked a Vietnam vet I worked with recently about is previous treatment of his PTSD from the war, he said: “I think I saw 10 or 11 different counselors, and some told me that they wanted to give me meds, and then they proceeded to do all these stupid things they wanted to do, like this tapping thing where they did this tapping on different parts of my body while I thought about the traumatic stuff I experienced, and that was supposed to make it lessen. And some did this finger thing, "follow the finger while you thought about the bad" — it was stupid! That didn’t do anything; it just kind of made me mad — and then I sought other counselors. I even went to the VA, where they sat around in groups telling war stories. They pretty much wasted my time. . . . I like having tools that YOU gave me because nobody gave us anything when we came back from Nam. . . I can hardly believe that in the few visits we had much of the terror flashbacks seemed to disappear just from us talking! And the tools you gave me make those anger reactions disappear almost as soon as they appear!
