A NATION WITH A FRAGILE DEMOCRATIC DICTATOR As the 2015 general election draws near, I am begining to ponder over the fictional factual paradox embedded in Chinua Achebes Anthills of the Savannah. The Buharists gavanizing outrageuos support from every corner with the obvious failures of the present administration and the Gejites mobilizing seriously with blames and the power of incubency. It is rather unfortunate or fortunate that Achebe never lived to see Things fall apart even when there is already a rocky Anthills mounting in the Savannah. Methinks that Achebe has conceded the Anthills of the Savannah before publishing Things fall Apart. This argument of mine is drawn after a careful analysis of the fictional paradoxicalness of the two books, which is gradually constituting the total framework of our nations present reality. The pride of Okonkwo (name witheld) will always let Things fall apart living only a gingatic Anthills (Beautiful yet conflicting problems) in the Savannah (Nigeria). Remember, Elewa made it painfully even when Chris could not. Res ipsa loquitor ... Nigeria is in a crucial moment of political yet generational decision come February.The Leaders and followers are responsible for our future.
